Meet our Team:

Joel Berrian President Joel Berrian, CPCU, ARM, AIC is the President of Berrian Insurance Group, Inc. He is also a producing broker, responsible for developing new business and managing customer relationships. He is located in Denver, CO and is licensed in 49 states. Joel has 28 years experience in both retail and surplus lines and has held several senior management positions throughout his career. He was Chairman and CEO of Crump Insurance Services, Inc., Sedgwick of Texas, Inc. and President of Sedgwick of Colorado, Inc. Joel's business model for Berrian Insurance Group is based on delivering responsive expertise and creative approaches to customers. He has extensive contacts throughout the industry in North American and London markets. Joel has a bachelor’s degree from Muskingum College in Ohio. He completed Wharton Business School’s Executive Insurance Program. He earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation in 1987 and also holds the Associate in Risk Management and Associate in Claims designations.

Alice Cornett Giacalone Senior Vice President Alice Cornett Giacalone joined Berrian Insurance in May of 2006, as Senior Vice President. Alice manages our security industry specialty program from the firm's New Jersey branch office. Alice's career began in 1989 when she was the manager/producer of the alarm insurance program at USI Insurance (formally TriWest Insurance). Her eighteen year insurance career has been dedicated to insuring the security and alarm industry exclusively. Alice continues to focus 100% of her efforts toward creating new insurance benefits for clients and growing this segment of our agency.

Tricia Cobb Producer Tricia Cobb currently oversees Berrian Insurance Group’s restaurant program. The program includes GL, property, auto, and excess liabilities lines. Tricia has extensive insurance experience. Prior to her employment with BIG she was employed for 11 years as a district manager for a large employee benefit company. Tricia also has over 17 years banking experience specializing in human resources, operations management, and financial advising. She currently holds property and casualty, health, and life insurance licenses.

Mary Berrian Market Consultant Mary Berrian, CPCU is the market consultant for Berrian Insurance Group, Inc. Her primary responsibilities are developing and managing market relations and assisting with complex risks and difficult placements. Mary has 15 years of insurance experience in various underwriting, reinsurance brokering and marketing roles with Travelers Insurance Company, The Hartford, Continental Insurance Company and American General Insurance Company. She has extensive experience in designing creative solutions for large complex accounts. Mary has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri. She earned her Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation in 1994.
